FAST FACTS:

  • Standalone operation - no attendant required.

  • Uses standard, off-the-shelf PC hardware.

  • High throughput (3-5 minutes per flight).

  • 3-D, topographically accurate depiction of the Camelot crater in the Taurus-Littrow valley.

  • Realistic controls, displays and flight characteristics. Based on the Crew Exploration Vehicle (CEV) concept.

  • Attract Sequence - continuous loop of graphics and audio; calls visitors' attention to the exhibit. Guest moves joystick to start the show.

  • Training Sequence - hosted by "Roger", this short set of audio-visual screens is the "pre-flight briefing" through which the guest selects a skill level and learns the basics of flying the CEV.

  • Flight Sequence - the actual landing attempt.

  • Wrap-up Sequence - "Roger" delivers a light-hearted assessment of the results of the landing attempt. The show then returns to the Attract sequence.
