NASA LIVE! & FLY YOUR NAME ON THE ISS

Live From NASA  – Guests will see what is going on at NASA via live feeds from NASA Centers, tracking the ISS, sighting the ISS from home, viewing landing tracks, observe launch and landing weather, asking those "in the know", and seeing some of the REAL experiment data coming directly from the ISS via NASA's TReK telescience software.  Guests will also find more information and fun educational interactives from NASA, ISS partner and other space related websites.  A large screen projection will show NASA TV on a continuing basis.

To view the Live From Space Station™ TReK display as seen in the exhibit:

  1. Verify that you are using Internet Explorer 3.0 or later.

  2. Select all security settings to enable ActiveX controls.

  3. Click on the link in step 6 and follow the directions for steps 4 and 5.

  4. When prompted to download the "unsigned control" select Yes.

  5. If prompted to replace .dll files or reboot your computer select No.

  6. http://164.111.190.226:8080/nasalive/iss.htm

Keep in mind that this display was built specifically for a 19" monitor using 1280x1024 screen resolution. It will work fine on other monitor sizes but may look a bit bulky.

Fly Your Name in SpaceGuests can enter their name in Charlotte, NC to fly on Shuttle Flight STS-111 to the real International Space Station and become a part of history.  (Subsequent flights must be arranged by each hosting venue.  See Paul Ripley for details.)  The kiosk can also be used to run virtual tours of the ISS or other interactive software.
